Based on the concept of"focusing on Xuanfu in the discussion of disease,opening up of the Xuanfu in clinical practice,dis-pelling Wind being the first step in treating diseases as well as treating intractable disease from perspective of Wind",Prof.Wang Mingjie believes that Xuanfu depression and closure is the most important mechanism of cerebral disease,and that opening up the Xuan-fu by dispelling the Wind is critical in treatment of brain disease,Wind-dispelling medicines are good for treating cerebral disease.He puts forward the principle of"opening Xuanfu with Wind-dispelling medicine"and"treating blood problem with Wind-dispelling medicine".Insect Wind-dispelling medicines are good at scurrying,specializing in searching and picking Wind evil factor,being effec-tive in opening the Xuanfu,so they are used to searching,picking,and eliminating Wind evil factor,attacking and breaking the accumu-lation and eliminating blood stasis as well as opening the Xuanfu and orifices to improve spirit conditions.In the treatment of stroke,ver-tigo,headache,and other cerebral diseases,they are used to open the closed brain Xuanfu and to improve the Qi,blood,Fluid,and spirit conditions,with good clinical efficacy.
