《白头吟》英译文的经验功能语篇分析

翻译学家对于各类翻译作品的分析与评估历来都持有不同标准，对古代诗歌的翻译评估更是各抒己见。韩礼德创立并发展的系统功能语法为翻译作品的评估提供了一个崭新的视角。基于系统功能语法中概念功能下的经验功能，对汉乐府诗《白头吟》两个译本进行语篇分析，研究卓文君《白头吟》的两篇英译文意义的表达并对其进行比较评估。结果显示，许译本更侧重于选词、韵律和诗歌意境的表达。汪译本忠实于原文，较喜采用直译的方法，精确地传达出诗作的主旨。经验纯理功能不仅对于乐府诗的翻译评估起到系统科学的理论指导作用，对以后古典诗词的翻译实践也大有裨益。
Abstract
Translators hold varied opinions toward the analysis and assessment of various transla‐ted works ,especially Chinese ancient poems .The Systemic Functional Grammar founded and developed by Halliday provides a new perspective for such a kind of assessment .Based on the concept of experiential metafunction ,this paper attempts to analyse ,compare and evaluate the two different English versions of Chinese Yue Fu ballad Bai Tou Yin ,focusing on the expres‐sions used by the two translators .The result shows that ,Xu’s version pays more attention to the choice of words ,rhythm and artistic conception .Wang’s version tends to be faithful to the original by adopting the method of literal translation ,precisely conveying the gist of Bai Tou Yin .The study finds that the experiential metafunction not only provides a systematic and sci‐entific theoretical guide for the assessment of translated Chinese Yue Fu ballads ,but contrib‐utes a lot to the translation practice of Chinese ancient poems and verses .
