On the Development Foundation and Prospect of Applied Universities Based on 13 Local Applied Universities in Jiangsu Province
Applied undergraduate institutes are an important component of China's undergraduate edu-cation,and improving their quality of education is a crucial step in raising the overall level of under-graduate education and building a high-quality higher education system in China.Based on a survey study of 13 applied universities within Jiangsu Province,this paper conducts a comprehensive evalua-tion of their disciplinary curriculum construction,teaching and research,and social services through their"14th Five-Year"plans.It also analyzes the congruence between their prospects and measures amidst the challenges and trends,with the aim of providing some reference and guidance for the devel-opment of applied universities within the province.
