On the Construction of the"U-shaped"Deep Teaching Mode to Promote University Undergraduates'Advanced Thinking Development
The accelerated transformation of modern society has led to an increasing demand for talents with advanced thinking skills,so promoting undergraduate students'advanced thinking development is of great significance.Firstly,it responds to the practical demands of modern social development.Secondly,it meets the inherent requirements of university teaching reform.Thirdly,it aligns with the deep needs of improving thinking quality.The research on cultivating advanced thinking through im-proving the quality of teaching for undergraduates is not rare but has little effect.One of the important reasons is the lack of a teaching mode in line with the theory of advanced thinking.The"U-shaped"deep teaching mode developed from the"U-shaped"learning mode is helpful for cultivating under-graduates'advanced thinking.This mode covers four stages(namely,restoration,teaching,integra-tion,and application of advanced thinking)and eight steps(namely,experience transformation,ele-ment extraction,situational creation,teaching transformation,cognitive restructuring,meta-cognitive development,imitative application,and innovative application).Following the"U-shaped"deep teaching mode,taking the course of History of Chinese Education for undergraduates of Education as an example,the teaching design is presented to demonstrate the mechanism of the mode to promote the development of undergraduates'advanced thinking.
