Study on the Academic Guidance Mechanism of Undergraduates from the Perspective of"Three-whole Education"
The quality of talent cultivation is the core competitiveness of universities.Improving the quality of undergraduate students is the focus of promoting the high-quality development of higher education in China.At present,more than 500,000 students drop out of university every year in China due to different degrees of academic difficulties,and the traditional academic guidance mechanism can hardly match undergraduate students'learning under the new era of higher education reform.This study takes University A,a"Double Fist-class"university in China,as an example and uses the interview and case study method to conduct an in-depth analysis of its undergraduate academic guidance mechanism.It is found that University A has effectively intervened in students with academic difficulties by establishing a collaborative mechanism with the participation of all staff members,a tripartite coordination mechanism for academic style construction and management,and a control mechanism for the whole process from admission to graduation.The result has implications for the construction of academic guidance mechanisms in other Chinese universities.
