Challenges and Quality Control in the Process of Doctoral Student Education from the Perspective of Supervisors—A Survey Based on the Supervisors of C University
In this study,we collected data through a questionnaire survey administered to 33 doctoral advisors at C University.The survey encompassed various aspects of doctoral student research,thesis writing,mentorship in thesis guidance,and thesis workflow control,aiming to analyze the challenges faced by doctoral advisors in guiding doctoral dissertation and ensuring thesis quality control throughout the doctoral training process,and explore measures for enhancing the quality of doctoral education.The research findings indicate that supervisors generally acknowledge the research performance of their doctoral students and perceive their commitment to research as commendable.However,there are areas where improvements can be made in terms of research-related skills,particularly in cultivating students'research interests,their ability to comprehend key issues within their research topics,fostering innovation,and enhancing the breadth of knowledge in their research domains.Regarding the processes and systems for thesis quality control,most supervisors believe that there is room for improvement.This study provides a useful reference for improving the quality of doctoral student education.
