Postgraduate Education,Technological Innovation and Industrial Structure Optimization—Spatial Econometric Analysis Based on Provincial Panel Data
The article analyzes the differences in the development level of postgraduate education between provinces and regions, and constructs a spatial Durbin model to explore the mechanism of postgraduate education and technological innovation capacity on the optimization of industrial structure in the province and neighboring regions based on the panel data of 30 provinces(municipalities, autonomous regions)from 2011 to 2020.It is found that:the development level of postgraduate education increases year by year, with the overall characteristic of"strong in the east and weak in the west",but the western region has the fastest growth rate;postgraduate education and invention output rate have a facilitating effect on industrial structure optimization;postgraduate education has a negative spillover effect on industrial structure optimization but the effect is weak, and invention output rate and technology market turnover rate have a positive spillover effect on industrial structure optimization. The output rate of inventions and technology market has a positive spillover effect on the optimization of industrial structure.By region, graduate education and technological innovation have heterogeneous effects on the optimization of industrial structure in different regions. In view of this, the article puts forward suggestions from the perspectives of the development of postgraduate education, the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and the division of labor and cooperation between regions.
