Enhancing the Quality of Implementing Ideological and Political Education in the Curriculum through the Application of Curriculum Mapping:Pathways and Conditions
In recent years,ideological and political education in the curriculum has formed a wealth of innovative achievements in both theory and practice aspects.However,there are still some urgent issues in the implementation process of ideological and political education in the curriculum.The combination of curriculum map technology with unique advantages in the field of curriculum planning,cohesion and integration helps to improve the overall education quality,to promote the same direction of ideological and political education in the curriculum and ideological and political course,and to solve the difficulties in the in-depth promotion of ideological and political education in the curriculum.Among various variations of curriculum maps,calendar-style maps that mainstream researchers advocate have received less attention from universities in China but are more suitable for strengthening the collaborative integration of courses to enhance the effectiveness of implementing ideological and political education in the curriculum.The drawing steps can be summarized as creating a personal curriculum map to describe the operation of a single course;exchanging curriculum maps within or among the group to classify and clarify the existing problems;formulating curriculum mapping revision plan and promoting the implementation.To improve the quality of ideological and political education in the curriculum using curriculum mapping,it is necessary for colleges and universities to establish effective leadership for change beyond departments and majors,to strengthen teachers'ability building and motivation for reform implementation,and to provide faculty with time,psychological and other resources.
