This article uses the DEA-Tobit model to measure the investment efficiency of 84 countries around the world,and finds that China's investment efficiency is at a medium level among the G20 countries,with a rapid declining trend in recent years,and the trend is similar to that of South Korea at a similar stage of development.Em-pirical research has found that when a country enters the ranks of middle-and high-income coun-tries,the investment efficiency decreases signifi-cantly with the increase of GDP,and a larger pop-ulation size,a better level of infrastructure,more effective government governance,a more stable financial environment,and higher quality of human capital are conducive to improving investment effi-ciency.It is recommended that China continue to promote the rational mobility of labour,optimize the layout of investment in accordance with the law of population mobility,improve the system integra-tion function of infrastructure,improve the level of modern governance and financial management,and improve the quality of human capital,to stabilize and improve China's investment efficiency.
