In the digital era,facing the in-creasingly severe international situation and risk challenges,exploring how to stimulate the potential of data elements to enhance the economic resilience of cities is of great value in realizing Chinese-style modernization.Based on the panel data of 246 pre-fecture-level and above cities in China from 2008 to 2021,this article examines the data factor ag-glomeration effect on the economic resilience of cities and its heterogeneity characteristics by using a quasi-natural experiment with the construction of a comprehensive big data pilot zones,using a multi-temporal difference-in-differences method.The results of the study show that the construction of the comprehensive big data pilot zones can effectively enhance the urban economic resilience of the pilot area.The mechanism test finds that the industrial structure upgrading effect,innovation driving effect and resource allocation optimization effect are the main paths for the construction of the comprehensive big data pilot zones of to enhance urban economic resilience.Heterogeneity analysis shows that for cities with higher administrative levels and cities in the eastern region,the construction of comprehensive big data pilot zones has a more obvious effect on the enhancement of urban economic resilience.Further research finds that the level of human capital and the level of financial development have a positive moderating effect on the play of the policy effects of the construction of comprehensive big data pilot zones.This article evaluates the data factor agglom-eration effect from the perspective of urban economic resilience,based on which China should make efforts to promote the reasonable expansion of the pilot scope of the construction of comprehensive big data pilot zones,and accelerate the construction of a good ecosystem of data factors,to more fully unleash the development dividends brought by the data factors agglomeration effect.
