Research on Anti-vibration Performance of Bypass Control Valve of Conventional Island Steam Turbine
For purpose of protecting conventional island steam turbine bypass regulating valves against res-onating during the earthquake which may damage the regulating valve and the connecting pipelines, the ANSYS finite element analysis software was used to perform a modal analysis on the DN 300 Class900 tur-bine bypass regulating valve. When the natural frequency is higher than 33 Hz,the equivalent static method can be used for seismic analysis to obtain equivalent stress and deformation of the whole valve and its components.According to the provisions for seismic resistance of nuclear grade equipment stipulated in ASME BPVC-Ⅲ,the stress intensity assessment was carried out to show that, the maximum stress of the valve body, bonnet, valve stem, and bracket is 133.63 MPa,77.52 MPa,29.46 MPa and 71.54 MPa,re-spectively.The maximum tensile stress of the middle flange bolt is 183.23 MPa,and the maximum shear stress is 15.36 MPa,they all meet the seismic strength requirements.
