Fracture Mechanical Property Test of Piston Rod of Hydraulic Cylinder with Adjustable Stroke Based on Finite Element Method
In this paper,a FEM-based method was designed for testing fracture mechanical properties of the hydraulic cylinder's piston rod with adjustable stroke. As for this broken piston rod with adjustable stroke, the FEM analysis software was adopted to construct its finite element model and its fracture me-chanical properties were tested from the aspects of macroscopic morphology, tensile property, hardness and roughness. The tensile and hardness tests show that, the elastic-plastic properties of the specimens becomes poor. The increase of roughness mainly causes this fracture and the longitudinal residual stress of the frac-tured specimen varies greatly and stays at 504 MPa after the fracture.
