Influence of Threaded Joint Fit Clearance on Loosening Performance under Transverse Vibration Load
In this paper, the finite element models were established for M10×1.5 bolt connection with or without fit clearance, including making use of FEM simulation to investigate the law of the threaded joint fit clearance's influence on threaded tooth's root stress and preload under transverse vibration load. The results show that, the threaded tooth's root stress of the M10×1.5 bolt connection with clearance is higher than that of the threaded tooth without clearance in three different cycles of 0.8-0.9 s,3.8-3.9 s and 6.8-6.9 s when the preload level of the bolted connection stays at the 0.5σs,the transverse vibration load amplitude is 0.6 mm and the frequency is 10 Hz;the root stress of the threaded tooth in the 9.8-9.9 s cycle is less than that with-out clearance;a phase difference between the root stress of the bolt and the threaded nut tooth exists, and the preload force is more likely to start falling. The clearance existed can redistribute the stresses distribution between the threaded teeth and provides space for the release of stresses.
