Analysis and Verification of the Phase Change Performance of Cryogenic Liquid Hydrogen Pump Seal for the Chemical Industry
The cryogenic liquid hydrogen pump answers for transporting low-temperature products in petroleum and air separation devices.The mechanical seal in cryogenic pump is a key factor which ensuring safe operation and affects the working performance of the cryogenic pump.For purpose of meeting long-term and reliable application of mechanical seals in cryogenic pumps,a dynamic pressure non-contact mechani-cal seal was adopted to establish a fluid-solid thermal coupling numerical analysis model for the phase tran-sition.In addition,the phase transition and seal characteristics of cryogenic liquid hydrogen pump seals were analyzed,and the recommended value of seal end face structure was given.The experiments verified correctness of the numerical model proposed.
