Numerical Simulation and Optimization Study on the Internal Air Flow Field in Large Circulating Water Cooling Tower
Through simulating and investigating the axial fan's flow field in the cooling tower of a petro-chemical enterprise's circulating cooling water system,obtaining the effect rule of the air flow field's tur-bulence degree which influencing the axial fan's flow rate,total pressure and shaft power within the cooling tower,having the field surveying and mapping data based to establish a three-dimensional turbulent hydro-dynamic model of the air flow field inside the cooling tower was implemented,including comparatively ana-lyzing both actual operation data and CFD simulation results to verify correctness of the model established.The results show that,adding the guiding hood can optimize the structure of the air flow field inside the cooling tower,reduce the degree of turbulence there;in addition,under the condition of basically keeping the axial fan's flow rate and full pressure unchanged(without sacrificing the cooling ability of the axial fan),reducing the axial fan's axial power and improving its operation stability can be realized.
