Study on the Effect of Pipeline Defects on Stress Corrosion under Mechano-Electrochemical Interaction
Based on finite element simulation method, the stress corrosion behavior of high-strength pipeline steel under different stress-strain and at defect sizes were studied to show that, compared to the e-lastic deformation stage, the mechano-electrochemical(M-E)interaction becomes more significant in the plastic deformation stage of pipeline steel, and the depth of defects has a greater impact on the stress cor-rosion rate compared to the length of defects.
