Removing Heavy Metals from Iron Tailings through Supercritical Carbon Dioxide
Iron tailings with heavy metals such as Pb,Cu,Cr and Zn accumulate in large quantities with-out treatment and they result in serious heavy metal pollution.Supercritical CO2 extraction technology can simultaneously and efficiently remove multiple heavy metals in a very short time.In this study, the maxi-mum removal rates of Pb,Cu,Cr and Zn are 88.28%,47.63%,65.58%and 67.25%,respectively when taking ethanol as the entrainment agent and tributyl phosphate(A)and diethyldithiocarbamate sodium(B)as the complexing agent under the optimal conditions;meanwhile, through making use of Gaussian simula-tion software, the mechanism of removing heavy metals from tailings by two complexing agents was dis-cussed.
