Progress in Industrial Waste Salt Treatment and Resource Utilization
The production of industrial waste salt is large and the composition is complex. Its main sources include coal chemical, pesticide, pharmaceutical, chemical, and printing and dyeing industries.Improper disposal poses risks of environmental pollution and resource wastage.Com-mon methods for handling industrial waste salt, such as landfilling and sea disposal, carry significant environmental risks and high processing costs. There is an urgent need for a resource-oriented approach to waste salt treatment. In response to this situation, the sources and composition of waste salt from various industries were summarized, focusing on the main methods of waste salt separation and their advantages and disadvantages. It identifies existing issues in cost control and resource recovery efficiency associated with current technologies.Furthermore,it suggests economically viable strategies for achieving precise separation and high-value utilization of waste salt through technological innovation. These approaches aim to minimize waste salt generation and promote its resource-oriented treatment.Additionally, the review outlines the development trends in the resource utilization of waste salt in industry.
