Enrichment Characterization and Risk Evaluation of Heavy Metals in Solid Waste from Coal-fired Coupled Sludge Power Plants
To investigate the extent of heavy metals contamination and human health risks in the solid wastes of a coal-fired coupled sludge power plant, the concentrations of As,Cr,Cu,Cd,Hg,Ni,Pb and Zn were analyzed. The ecological hazards and human health risks of heavy metals were assessed using the potential ecological risk and health risk evaluation model. The results showed that the contents of As,Hg,Cd,Cu and Zn in the fly ash and bottom ash increased after blending with sludge. The potential ecological hazards of heavy metals in fly ash to the environment were at a high level, with Cd and Hg were the main polluting elements.Oral intake was the main route of risk,As was the main factor of cancer risk, and children had a higher risk than adults.
