Optimizing the Business Environment,Improving the Digital Economy and the Quality of Economic Development—An Empirical Study Based on 281 Cities
The optimization of business environment is the external guarantee and power engine for the improvement of economic development quality.Based on the panel data of 281 cities from 2011 to 2020,the impact of business environment on the quality of economic development is empirically analyzed.The results show that the optimization of business environment significantly improves the quality of economic development,and this conclusion still holds after a series of robustness tests;the heterogeneity analysis finds that the higher the city grade and the further east the geographical location,the stronger the impact of business environment on the quality of economic development;the spatial effect shows that the optimization of business environment significantly improves the quality of economic development of neighboring cities;the mechanism analysis finds that the digital economy is the role path of business environment in affecting the quality of economic development;the threshold effect shows that the optimization of business environment is a key factor in the quality of economic development,development quality;the threshold effect analysis shows that the higher the level of business environment and digital economy,the stronger the promotion of business environment on the quality of economic development.To this end,we provide policy recommendations from three perspectives:optimizing the business environment,building digital platforms and cluster development.
