Study on the Impact of Government Training on the Employment Quality of Workers in New Forms of Employment
Employment is the ballast of social stability,and new employment patterns have become an important source of jobs in the labor market.Using data from the China Labor Force Dynamics Survey,this study selects typical groups of platform unit-employed employees,platform net-contracted workers,and platform individual flexible employees to examine the impact of government vocational skills training on the employment quality of workers in new employment forms.The study finds that government vocational skills training has a significant positive impact on the employment quality of workers,mainly stemming from the contribution of employment skills training and job skills upgrading training.For the informal employment group,government-supported vocational skills training has a significant positive effect on the employment quality of non-standard employed workers,but is not conducive to the improvement of the employment quality of self-employed workers.Government vocational skills training enables workers to obtain skills certificates and job skills matching affects employment quality.In addition,the positive impact of government vocational skills training on the employment quality of practitioners is more pronounced among women and middle-income group.Therefore,some suggestions are put forward,such as setting up multi-level training contents and exploring multi-type training methods,in order to improve the human capital level of new employment forms of workers,and promote the expansion and quality of employment under new business forms.
