Research on the Development Quality of Specialized and Sophisticated"Little Giant"Enterprises:Connotation Framework,Evaluation System,and Improvement Strategies
The development quality of specialized and sophisticated"little giant"enterprises is an important reference for leading the quality improvement and upgrading of SMEs.Based on the process perspective of"resource foundation-dynamic capability-competitive advantage",the core characteristics of professional capabilities,refinement degree,unique advantages,and innovative benefits are identified,and then the connotation framework of the development quality of specialized and sophisticated"little giant"enterprises is constructed from the perspectives of prominent main business,quality and efficiency,market advantages,and technological leadership.Based on the method for identifying specialized and sophisticated"little giant"enterprises and with the help of statistical research conducted by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Henan Province,the evaluation index system is established.Using 451 specialized and sophisticated"little giant"enterprises listed from 2019 to 2022 as the research samples,the DEA method is used to conduct development quality evaluation,and the improvement strategies are proposed based on the evaluation results.The results show that the development quality level of China's specialized and sophisticated"little giant"enterprises has a significant U-shaped trend of first decreasing and then increasing.The ranking of development quality of enterprises by industry is:new materials,energy conservation and environmental protection,new energy,new energy vehicles,high-end equipment manufacturing,biomedical,new generation information technology.The ranking of development quality of enterprises in different regions is:East China,Southwest China,South China,Central China,Northwest China,North China and Northeast China.The prominent issues of input redundancy and insufficient output around the main business are significant.Promoting digital transformation is specific strategies to improve the development quality of specialized and sophisticated"little giant"enterprises.
