In the evaluation of popular journals such as Mao Dun and Lu Xun,the popular magazine"Fiction World"is considered vulgar,"old",and backward due to its publication of popular works such as the"Saturday School".To reaffirm the positioning of"Fiction World"in modern literary journals,this article takes the cultural resources within the"foreign"journal as a starting point for specific text analysis and horizontal comparison.Through analysis,it can be seen that"foreign"resources are specifically reflected in the interaction between editors and readers in"Fiction World"and the publication of foreign works.In terms of reading,there are significant differences in expectations and perspectives between editors and readers towards foreign works;In actual publication,foreign works reflect the mixed characteristics of"new"and"old"in journals.The examination of"foreign"resources in"Fiction World"has to some extent corrected the one-sided labels of"old"and"backward"in the context of new literature.
