In order to cultivate more high-quality and high skilled applied talents for economic and social development,combined with the basic connotations of persistence,focus,excellence,meticulousness,and pursuit of excellence unique to the craftsman spirit in the new era.This article analyzes the contemporary value of integrating the craftsman spirit into the teaching of General English courses in higher vocational colleges,which helps students establish correct values,helps students with their future career development and helps to improve the effectiveness of English curriculum teaching.The article focuses on the integration of the spirit of craftsmanship and the teaching of General English courses in higher vocational education.It proposes to improve the effectiveness of course teaching by firmly grasping the guidance of the spirit of craftsmanship,fully utilizing new media technology,cleverly setting up workplace scenarios,and actively carrying out the linkage of the three courses,thereby enhancing the effectiveness of English teaching reform and providing guarantees for the high-quality development of higher vocational education.
