Measuring and Spatial-Temporal Evolution of China's New Quality Productivity Development Index from the Perspective of Total Factor Productivity
Accelerating the cultivation of new quality productivity is not only an inherent requirement for promoting high-quality economic development,but also an important focus point for realizing Chinese-style modernization.The new quality productivity development index evaluation index system is constructed with the logical starting point of"new quality productivity development is centered on the improvement of total factor productivity".Subsequently,a two-period modified mixed-distance Luenberger productivity model is constructed to measure the new quality productivity development index of 284 Chinese cities from 2011 to 2022,and the support structure of China's new quality productivity development index is revealed from the decomposition viewpoint of the dual effects of factor input intensification and output structure optimization.The study found that over the past 12 years,China's new productivity development index has risen markedly,and the support structure has been gradually optimized,from the old"two-wheel-drive"structure consisting of capital and economic growth to the new"two-wheel-drive"structure consisting of the cultivation of new business and balanced development,and then to the"three-wheel-drive"structure consisting of the cultivation of new business,data elements and balanced development.All three levels of urban agglomerations have seen an increase in the index of new quality productivity development,but the heterogeneity between regions is obvious and the supporting structure varies.Among them,the driving support structure of national-level urban agglomerations has changed from"two-wheel drive"to"three-wheel drive",that of regional urban agglomerations has changed from"single-wheel drive"to"two-wheel drive",and that of district urban agglomerations has always remained"two-wheel drive",but the dominant factor of pollution control and balanced development has changed to pollution control and energy.The spatial distribution pattern of new productivity development index shows the dynamic evolution process of"multi-point mosaic-pole scattering",and the new productivity development index gradually changes from"low level,low gap"to"high level,high gap".Based on the above conclusions,this paper proposes countermeasures from the dimensions of removing obstacles to the development of new quality productivity,promoting the development of new quality productivity according to local conditions,and strengthening the mechanism of spatial coordination and correlation for the new quality productivity development.
