Effects of Low Salt Acclimation on the Antioxidant Capacity of Paramisgurnus dabryanus ssp.
Paramisgurnus dabryanus ssp.has a certain tolerance to low salinity,and the feasibili-ty of improving its salt tolerance characteristics through low salt domestication is explored.The salinity abrupt change(0,4,8,12)and salinity acclimation experiments were conducted on Pa-ramisgurnus dabryanus ssp.(4 salinities were added every 7 days,denoted as 0,4,4-8,4-12,4-8),and samples were taken at different time points.The activities and contents of superoxide dismutase(SOD)and catalase(CAT)in muscle tissue were determined.The results showed as follows:① In the salinity mutation experiment,salinity had a significant effect on the activity of related antioxidant enzymes in muscle tissue of Paramisgurnus dabryanus ssp.SOD in each sa-linity group increased continuously within 1 day,and then began to decline.The salinity in group 8 reached its maximum value on the first day and was significantly higher than that in the control group,and was significantly lower than that in the control group on the sixth day(P<0.05).The trend of CAT activity was similar to that of SOD activity(P>0.05).The variation trend of MDA content was firstly increased and then decreased with time,and the content of MDA in all groups reached the highest level at 6 h,and basically recovered to the normal level at the third day.② In the salinity acclimation experiment,the H2O2 and MDA content,SOD and CAT en-zyme activity of the salinity 4-12 group were significantly higher than those of the salinity 4-8-12 group within 1 day(P<0.05).The above results showed that the increase of salinity had a sig-nificant effect on the physiology of Paramisgurnus dabryanus ssp.,and with the increase of sa-linity,there was a certain stress effect.Meanwhile,Paramisgurnus dabryanus ssp.showed strong salt tolerance and adaptability through physiological regulation,and could generally adapt to the changes of water salinity.Therefore,increasing the salinity of aquaculture water in an ap-propriate way is beneficial for promoting the ability of Paramisgurnus dabryanus ssp.to adapt to low salinity water,improving its survival rate and yield in saline alkali water,and thus providing a new breeding variety for the comprehensive utilization of saline alkali water.
