Rural assisted meals for the aged:Local practices and suggestions——Based on the investigation and analysis of the elderly canteens in SY District,Zhejiang Province
With the acceleration of the aging of the population,the problem of"difficult to eat"for the elderly has become a major pension problem.In recent years,many places in China have actively explored the construc-tion of"dining halls for the elderly"and"assisted meals for the elderly",which have solved the problem of eat-ing for the elderly to a certain extent.Through the investigation,this paper found that there are some problems in the operation of"canteen for the elderly",such as inadequate ideological understanding,difficult to sustain fi-nancial security,relatively simple meal assistance methods,and unstandardized operation supervision.To pro-mote the long-term operation of the"canteen for the elderly",it is necessary to win social support,improve the service mode,do a good job in management supervision,strengthen publicity and guidance,and ensure the long-term,standardized,safe and scientific operation of the"canteen for the elderly".
