The Significance of the Ethnic Survey of Huna League in Inner Mongolia in 1950——In memory of Huang Shuping's first field study
This article commemorates the first anniversary of Huang Shuping's death by recalling her first field study.The ethnic survey was conducted in the summer of 1950 in the Huna League,Inner Mongolia,by a survey team from three schools in Beijing.It was the first successful attempt to survey in an ethnic area since the new China was just established.This article elaborates on the organizational process of the survey,the main points of the survey,and summarizes the features of the fieldwork,and finally concludes with a discussion of the significance of the survey.
