A Study of Kinship Appellative Words in Muyang Hmong Language from the Perspective of Cultural Linguistics
The formation and development of kinship appellative words contain certain cultural connotation,which shows that language is the carrier of culture.The appellative terms of kinship in Hmong language reflect not only the distance of kinship and the cultural traces of history,but also the development of Hmong social system.From the perspective of cultural linguistics,this paper combs the historical development process of kinship appellations in Muyang Hmong language,reveals the cultural traces of"ancient marriage and family form"and"matriarchal clan system'contained in it,and analyzes its cultural connotations such as"respecting relatives and elders","inheritance system of younger children"and"elder wives like mothers".
