Research on the Influencing Factors of Non-farming Employment of Rural Labour Force in Light of Double Capital Endowment—Taking the Main Grain-Producing Regions as an Example
Based on the micro-data of China Family Tracking Survey(CFPS)2020,the impact of whether rural labourers engage in non-farming employment and non-farming employment area under dual capital endowment is analysed by using binary Logit and Probit regression models with a sample of farmers from the main grain-producing regions.Overall, human capital and social capital have a significant impact on the non-farming employment of rural labour force in the main grain-producing regions, and in the heterogeneity analysis, the number of years of education has an impact on whether different genders choose non-farning employment, and different levels of education have a difference in the choice of non-farming employment regions in the east, central part, and west of China. In social capital, except for social trust, different links and intensity of variability in terms of gender and region bear on whether to choose non-farming employment and employment region. Therefore,it is recommended to improve the level of rural education,to increase the accumulation of farmers'human capital while accelerating the development of county wealth industries,to create non-farm employment opportunities,to promote farmers'non-farming employment through multiple channels, and to increase farmers'incomes.
