An Investigation into the Sports Anthropology of the Cultural Logic of Lion Dance of the Miao Ethnic Group in Western Hunan
Sports anthropology is an interdisciplinary and comprehensive emerging discipline that uses multidisciplinary methods to focus on the humanistic aspects of sports,providing a new perspective for the study of the cultural logic of traditional sports of ethnic minorities.Lion dance,as a traditional sport of Miao Ethnic Group,is adapted to the natural ecological environment and social and cultural fields in western Hunan.It has undergone the evolution of folk beliefs and rituals,traditional ethnic sports activities,and folk cultural performances,and has become a local activity for the Lunar New Year.The lion dance of Miao ethnic group in Western Hunan embody the local ecological wisdom of harmonious coexistence between man and nature,demonstrating a united and enterprising national spirit,and integrating into the Chinese national community with a tolerant and inclusive attitude.These cultural connotations all reflect the local value of sports culture in ecological civilization construction,rural revitalization,and strengthening the community of the Chinese nation.Traditional sports of ethnic minorities need creative transformation and innovative development in order to be inherited and promoted.
