On the Theme Content and Form Feature of Governance Fu in Tang Dynasty
The number of Tang Dynasty's governance-themed fu is the biggest in all times,and it also has its characteristics in content and form.In terms of content,Tang Dynasty's governance-themed fu tends to write about wise rulers and worthy ministers,respect talent and admonish people,and lay down the military hierarchy and cultivate cultural rule.With regard to the characteristics of the"way of governance"discussed in fu,one is"taking the past as a mirror",taking the initiative to learn from historical experience,and the second is"inclusive",consciously accepting Confucianism and Taoism.In terms of form,most of Tang Dynasty's governance-themed fu were metrical,and they were related to the imperial examinations.The title of fu was"either using ancient events or taking today's events",and the rhyming rules were mainly limited to eight-character rhymes,and to five-character rhymes,six-character rhymes,seven-character rhymes,four-sound rhymes,and unlimited rhymes,etc.The length of a fu was generally between four and five hundred words.An in-depth investigation into the governance fu in Tang Dynasty will be helpful to reveal its characteristics in content and form,promote the multidimensional development of the study of classical fu,deepen the understanding of Tang Dynasty's way of governance,and strengthen the cultural confidence of modern China to carry out the strategy of strengthening the power of talent.
