Evaluation of the Efficiency of Preschool Education Resource Utilization Within a Region Based on the DEA-Tobit Model
This study employs the DEA-Tobit model to conduct an in-depth analysis of the utilization efficiency of preschool education resources in City H of the Xiangxi region. The research findings indicate significant disparities in the allocation of preschool education resources across different areas, with urban areas having better resource allocation than rural areas.Additionally, the resource allocation efficiency in some regions needs improvement. The study also reveals the presence of both redundancy and insufficiency in resource inputs, suggesting optimization potential in certain inputs for non-DEA efficient areas. The efficiency of resource utilization is closely related to multiple factors such as economic conditions, population,GDP per capita, population density, urbanization process, structure of educational resource allocation, class size in preschool education, and the scale and capacity of kindergartens. To enhance the efficiency of preschool education resource allocation,decision-makers need to formulate targeted policy measures to optimize resource allocation and strengthen input optimization to maximize resource utilization.Furthermore, policy guidance should be intensified to promote fairness and balanced development in education.
