Effects of different physical additives on aerobic composting of cabbage tail
To study the effects of different physical additives on the aerobic composting of tail vegetables, and to provide a reference for improving the efficiency of the aerobic composting of tail vegetables and reducing potential environmental pollution by composite physical additives, this experiment used cabbage tail as compost raw material, rice straw as a conditioner, and added medical stone, biochar, and their mixture as physical additives. The effects of different physical additives on the aerobic composting of cabbage tails were studied. The addition of medical stone, biochar, and mixture can increase the temperature of the pile, increase the time of the high-temperature stage, increase the pH,and reduce the decrease of water content, which is conducive to the degradation of the organic matter of the pile by microorganisms, and improve the seed germination index so that the compost products are in a state of decomposition and harmless. The results showed that the effect of adding medical stone, biochar, and the mixture was better than that of adding only medical stone and biochar.Physical additives could improve the efficiency of aerobic composting, while compound physical additives could promote the process of aerobic composting and improve the quality of composting.
