Investigation and research on the awareness of solid waste generation and classification in colleges and universities under the concept of"zero-waste campus"——Taking Inner Mongolia University of Technology as an example
With the expansion of the scale of colleges and universities and the increase in the number of teachers and students, the amount of solid waste generated on college campuses has gradually increased, which not only causes pollution to the environment, but also causes a certain waste of resources. Therefore, taking the Inner Mongolia University of Technology as an example, under the guidance of the concept of"zero-waste campus",the solid waste generation law and the classification awareness of teachers and students through questionnaire survey and data analysis were analyzed.Targeted suggestions for the"zero-waste campus"under the concept of"zero-waste city"were put forward. The results showed that the solid waste of college campuses mainly came from domestic waste and kitchen waste, and had obvious seasonal variation. The classification awareness of teachers and students was generally low,so it was necessary to strengthen publicity and education. Therefore, strengthening the management of solid waste on campus and improving the classification awareness of teachers and students are important tasks of environmental protection work in colleges and universities.
