Removal of antimonate from water by adsorption of magnetic Mg/Fe anionic clay
Magnetic magnesium-ferric anionic clay(Mg/Fe-MLDO)was prepared by co-precipitation and calcination method, and the adsorption efficiency and mechanism of Sb(Ⅴ)in water were investigated. The results showed that the maximum adsorption capacity of Mg/Fe-MLDO for Sb(Ⅴ)was 139.46 mg/g under the conditions of 1.0 g/L adsorbent dosage,40 mg/L Sb(Ⅴ)concentration,pH 4 and temperature 45℃.XRD and FTIR characterization indicated that the original lamellar structure of Mg/Fe-MLDO was restored during the adsorption process. The adsorption process of Mg/Fe-MLDO on Sb(Ⅴ)included physical adsorption and chemical adsorption, and also was monolayer adsorption.Compared with Cl-,NO3-and SO42-,CO32-and PO43-have stronger inhibition on the adsorption process of Sb(Ⅴ).
