ADSORPTION CHARACTERISTICS OF Pb2+ FROM SOLUTION BY THE MODIFIED BAGASSE MOLECULAR SIEVE
The bagasse molecular sieve as an adsorbent was used to adsorb Pb2+ in aqueous solution by using static adsorption experiments, the adsorption property of the bagasse molecular sieve for Pb2+ from aqueous solution was studied. The results showed that the removal rate of Pb2+ reached 93.55% under the following condition:pH of 5.5,the dosage of 8 g/L,adsorption equilibrium time of 60 min and initial Pb2+ concentration of 10 mg/L.In addition, all the results suggested that the adsorption of Pb2+ by the bagasse molecular sieve followed the McKay the-second-order kinetics model very well. Moreover, the Langmuir isotherm model gave an acceptable fit to the experimental data.
