Propeller Noise Performance Analysis Based on Large Eddy Simulation
Numerical simulations of the aerodynamic and noise performances of the propeller in take-off and landing con-figurations are carried out using a hybrid noise numerical simulation method coupled with the FW-H equations of the LES large vortex model method, and compared with the measured data from the wind tunnel test. The comparative results show that the deviation of the calculated sound pressure levels at the given reception points from the wind tunnel test re-sults is not more than 2 dB,and the average value of the deviation of the calculated sound pressure levels from the wind tunnel test results at each sound pressure monitoring point is about 1.97 dB for the propeller in the landing configuration, and the average value of the deviation of the calculated sound pressure levels from the wind tunnel test results at each sound pressure monitoring point is about 1.04 dB for the propeller in the take-off configuration. The hybrid noise numeri-cal simulation method based on the LES model vortex simulation coupled with the FW-H equation can realistically obtain the aerodynamic performance and aerodynamic noise performance of the propeller, and the simulation results can meet the engineering applications.
