Issues and Recommendations for the Protection of Amphibian Species(Frogs)in Jiangsu Province
Biodiversity conservation is a crucial aspect of building a"Strong,Prosperous,Beautiful,and High-quality"new Jiangsu.In recent decades,the rapid development of urbanization and industrialization,coupled with the widespread use of agricultural chemicals,has significantly reduced the habitat areas suitable for frogs in Jiangsu.The population of endemic frog species in China,such as the Chinese immaculate treefrogs,has markedly declined,raising serious concerns about their future.It is urgently necessary to address the current issues in frog species protection and conservation by implementing robust measures in various areas,including public education,biodiversity baseline surveys,monitoring and observation of sample sites,and increased investment in scientific research.These actions are critical to effectively reversing the decreasing trend in frog populations.
