Study on the Leaching Law of Heavy Metals in Consolidation of Gold Mine Tailings and Water Quality Evaluation
Taking the consolidated tailings of a gold mine in Guizhou as the research object, the changes of heavy metal concentration in tailings and different curing time of tailings after solidification were analyzed by the static immersion experiment. The results show that the leaching concentration of Ni,Cd and Sb of tailings after solidification is less than before solidification, and the longer the curing time, the less leaching. The results of fitting the leaching concentration of heavy metals and the soaking time showed that the maximum concentration of heavy metal ions leached after reaching equilibrium were Ni 2.45 μg/L,Cd 0.14 μg/L,Sb 360.46 µg/L.After the tailings are solidified, the leaching concentration of Ni,Cd,Cu and Sb will reach equilibrium eventually, and the longer the curing time, the less maximum leaching concentration of heavy metal ions.Heavy metal leaching concentrations of the tailings of before and after the consolidation make the water quality satisfatory to Class V critiera, however, the water quality has been greatly improved after the tailings are consolidated. And the longer the curing time, the more obvious the effect of groundwater quality improvement.
