Research Progress in Noble Metal Single-atom Catalysts for Catalytic Oxidation of VOCs
As the main precursors of fine particles and ozone,volatile organic compounds(VOCs)are the crucial factor on atmospheric environment.Due to the low energy consumption,noble metal-loaded catalysts have been widely used in catalyt-ic oxidation of VOCs,traditional nano-catalysts suffer from low atom utilization,poor product selectivity,and high cost,but single-atom catalysts give a great potential in this process.This paper describes the synthesis strategies and structural charac-teristics of metal-loaded single-atom catalysts in the last decades.The interaction of metal/support and its resulted activi-ties on catalytic oxidation of VOCs is stressed.Meanwhile,the interaction of metal/support is further analyzed based on the model construction and theoretical calculation.Finally,the mechanisms of VOCs combustion on noble metal single-atom cata-lysts are concluded,and future development direction is proposed.
