摘要
捻料是船板之间的黏合材料,其功能主要有密封船板缝隙、防止海洋生物附着、船钉防锈、保障水密性能等等.不同地域因手工业传统不同,捻料所使用的材料差别较大.本文总结了中国、欧洲、印度洋地区、中东地区、中美洲地区捻料使用传统,对捻料研究采取的不同研究方法诸如科技分析、考古报告、民族学调查、古文献等进行对比分析,并为今后相关领域研究提供一定思路.
Abstract
Caulking materials are commonly used as a binding medium in seams between ship planks.Their functions include preventing marine organisms from adhering,preventing rust,and sealing plank seams to ensure ship watertight.Because of the different handicraft traditions in various regions,the caulking materials vary widely.This paper examines the existing literature on the traditions of caulking material in China,Europe,Indian Ocean region,the Middle East and Central America.The author pays particular attention to comparing the research methods and ma-terials,such as scientific analysis,archaeological excavation reports,ethnological investigation and ancient literature,trying to introduce new research perspectives into this field.
