Characteristics of atmospheric volatile organic compounds and ozone formation potential in autumn in Xixian New Area of Xi'an
In order to find out the characteristics of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)components in Xixian New Area of Xi'an,116 VOCs species were monitored online from August 21 to October 9,2022.The results showed that:(1)the daily average volume fraction of VOCs was 40.44 × 10-9,mainly composed of alkanes, oxygenated volatile organic compounds(OVOCs)and halogenated hydrocarbons.(2)Alkanes,alkenes,aromatic hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, alkynes and VOCs all showed an obvious trend of low in the daytime and high at night.OVOCs and organic sulfur showed the characteristics of gradually rising in the daytime oscillation and reaching the peak at night.(3)OVOCs,alkenes and aromatic hydrocarbons accounted for 48.39%by volume, contributed up to 86.55%to the generation of ozone formation potential. The prevention and control of O3 pollution in Xixian New Area of Xi'an could be started with strengthening the monitoring and sources of these three components.
