Vertical distribution and pollution evaluation of nutrients in sediments of Wuliangsuhai Lake
In order to explore the vertical distribution characteristics of nutrients in the sediments of Wuliangsuhai Lake and evaluate its pollution situation, its sediment nutrients were measured and analyzed, and Hasuhai Lake was used as the contrast. The results showed that, exept for total potassium(TK)and available potassium, the nutrients contents in the surface sediments(0-20 cm)in the center of Wuliangsuhai Lake(W1)were significantly higher than those in Hasuhai Lake;and the surface contents of total organic carbon(TOC),total nitrogen(TN)and total phosphorus(TP)fluctuated decreased from the lake center to the lake shore. The contents of TP,alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen, available phosphorus in W1,and the contents of TOC,ammonium nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen in lake center transition lakeside(W3)enriched in the surface sediments. The nutrient pollution index showed that TN and TP in the sediments of Wuliangsuhai Lake were seriously polluted and moderately polluted, respectively;and there was a higher risk of eutrophication in Wuliangsuhai Lake than that in Hasuhai Lake.Nitrogen was the limiting nutrient in this region. Moreover, all nutrients were significantly positively correlated with TOC(P<0.01).Therefore,TOC and nitrogen input controlling were crucial to avoiding the intensification of eutrophication of Wuliangsuhai Lake.
