A review of the development of AnMBR and its coupling with ANAMMOX for nitrogen removal
Anaerobic membrane bioreactors(AnMBR)have become a research hotspot in the field of wastewater treatment due to their unique advantages in the resource utilization of organic matter in water. The main factors affecting the operational effectiveness of AnMBR were discussed in terms of the configuration of reactor and membrane modules, organic matter removal, and methane production rate. The coupling technology of anaerobic ammonia oxidation(ANAMMOX)autotrophic nitrogen removal and AnMBR was discussed in the context of the demand for deep nitrogen removal from wastewater. The application forms of relevant coupling processes at home and abroad were introduced, the latest research methods and operational effects about this coupling process were summarized, and the application prospects of this technology in the field of wastewater treatment were prospected.
