Review on emission standards of atmospheric volatile organic compounds from fixed sources at home and abroad
A systematic review was conducted on the policies, regulations, and standards related to the prevention and control of atmospheric volatile organic compounds(VOCs)from fixed sources at home and abroad.A comprehensive compilation of the current VOCs standard systems in developed countries and in China at both national and local levels was undertaken.Emphasis was placed on the characteristics of VOCs species in several major industries and their contributions to ozone(O3)formation.It was suggested that there were issues with the establishment of indicators in the emission system of VOCs from fixed sources, such as vague control and a lack of specificity.Based on this, recommendations were put forward to further improve China's emission standard system of VOCs from fixed sources, drawing on foreign management methods and experiences, promptly revising existing standards, incorporating more O3-forming high-contributing species, and implementing tiered management.
