Analysis of regional differences in China's investment in environmental pollution control and their causes
During the"14th Five-Year Plan"period,which was a critical time for advancing environmental pollution control,promoting the balanced development of China's investment in environmental pollution control was an inevitable choice to achieve sustainable economic and social development.Based on the investment data in environmental pollution control from 2004 to 2021 in 31 provinces of China,the Dagum Gini coefficient and its decomposition method were employed to calculate regional differences,and the QAP analysis method was used to discuss the main influencing factors.The results showed that the overall differences in China's investment in environmental pollution control showed a decreasing trend.Inter-regional differences were the main source of overall differences in China's investment in environmental pollution control.The main factors affecting overall differences in China's investment in environmental pollution control were government support,technological level,and economic scale.Heterogeneity existed in the main influencing factors at different regional and temporal levels.
