Effect of amendments and air-flow on biodrying of dehydrated sewage sludge
Influences of amendments and air-flow on biodrying of dehydrated sewage sludge were studied using a self-designed experimental equipment. The results showed that the temperature of material was rapidly increased and water was easily removed, when straw was used as bulking agent. As initial water content were 60%and 65%,the final water content decreased by 7%and 6%,respectively.Whereas initial water content was higher than 65%,the temperature and water content of material kept consistent.Compared with continuous airflow, interval air-flow better facilitated the increase of temperature and removal of water of material. The present results proved that optimal condition of biodrying of dehydrated sewage sludge were straw as bulking agent, below 65% of initial water content and interval air-flow.
