Review of the clogging causes idenfication and anti-clogging techniques for groundwater circulation well
Groundwater circulation well(GCW)is an in-situ remediation technology that integrates coupled extraction,bioaugmentation and chemical oxidation and reduction.However,the blockage of the well significantly impacts its lifespan,operational expenses,and restoration effectiveness.Based on the structural features of GCW and the hydrogeological circumstances of contaminated site,this paper comprehensively reviewed the research progress on blockage of various underground well.The existing prediction methodologies and detection technologies for GCW blockage,including physical,chemical and biological blockage were summarized.The blockage breaking technologies and their applicable scope were systematically provided.Finally,this paper proposed the future research and application development direction from the aspects of 1)anti-blockage design for GCW structure optimization,2)blokage prediction and identification techniques during GCW operation,3)GCW blockage breaking and maintenance technology.
