Research on Stable and Safe Control of Sludge Stack in Laogang Comprehensive Landfill Site
The Laogang comprehensive landfill site uses retaining walls for vertical expansion and heightening of the sludge disposal area.Surface displacement, subsidence, stagnant water level, and main water level on the vertical sludge pile slope were monitored in this study. The stability safety coefficient for the retaining wall and the sludge vertical pile slope were calculated separately to determine their stability under working conditions. The results showed that the retaining wall around the sludge reservoir area met the requirements of the regulations under basic working conditions and full water level conditions, but the load of transport vehicles around the reservoir area had a significant impact on the anti-slip stability. The stability safety coefficient of the sludge slope was much greater than the regulation requirements, and no sliding would occur. However, due to the damage of temporary covering film and the failure of rainwater and sewage separation, local sludge may slide. To ensure the long-term safety and stability of the vertical sludge pile, combined with daily sludge landfill operations, stability control measures for the sludge pile were proposed.
